Imphal, June 21, : :The State Wrestling Championship 2026 concluded today with its closing function held at 3 pm at S.A.G. Hall, STC, Khuman Lampak, Imphal.<\/p>\n

The championship, which opened on June 20, featured Senior Men, Under-17 Boys, Under-15 Boys, Free Style, Greco Roman Style, Senior Women, Under-17 Girls, and Under-15 Girls categories. A total of 142 wrestlers participated, including 122 boys and 22 girls.
\nShri Thokchom Lokeshwor Singh, Hon\u2019ble MLA of 1-Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency and former Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, attended the function as Chief Guest.
\nShri Ningthoujam Phoni Meitei, President of the Manipur Wrestling Association, Vice-President of the Wrestling Federation of India, and Secretary General of the Fast India Wrestling Association, EIWA, presided as President.
\nShri H. Devasekhar Sharma, IAS (Retd.), and Asem Bhakta Singh, President of the All Manipur Working Journalists\u2019 Union, attended as Guests of Honour. Several other members of the Manipur Wrestling Association were also present at the event.<\/p>\n
