Imphal, 10 August : : The U-17 UNACCO team competed in the CBSE Cluster-I Basketball Tournament 2026 hosted by Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar, Guwahati Assam from Aug 7-9. The tournament featured 58 CBSE schools and 125 teams across 6 divisions, making it one of the largest CBSE inter-school basketball events in the region.
UNACCO put up a brave fight but lost to DPS Dibrugarh 27-20 in the semi-final. With this result, UNACCO secured the Bronze medal and finished as Second Runner Up in the U-17 Boys category.
Despite the loss, the 11-member UNACCO squad displayed great teamwork, discipline and Meitei spirit throughout the competition.

Among 58 schools, making it to the semi-finals and bringing home bronze is a huge achievement.
